Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistants for a variety of opportunities, including full-time and part-time roles in schools across Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils’ learning and development within a welcoming and supportive school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to help deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small group support, and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting (preferred)
• A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
