Nursery Assistant

🌟 Nursery Assistant – Cardiff, CF24
Start Date: October 2026
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Pay: £93–£100 per day

Supply Hive Wales are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming Cardiff nursery and provide dedicated support to children with ALN needs.
This role would suit someone who is confident working with children who may need additional support with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs and their day-to-day routines.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting children with a variety of Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Supporting transitions between activities, play and different parts of the nursery day
• Helping children take part in play-based learning
• Supporting with personal care and toileting where required
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children and getting to know their individual needs
• Helping create a calm, structured and nurturing environment

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children, particularly within Early Years or ALN
• Is patient and understands that every child will have different communication and support needs
• Is enthusiastic and happy to get involved in play and activities
• Is observant and proactive
• Brings a positive, nurturing and enthusiastic attitude into the nursery each day
