PPA Teacher

Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic PPA Teacher to join a large primary school based in Newport. The role will entail working across Key Stage 2 and is an ideal role for a teacher who enjoys variety, thrives on building relationships and can deliver high-quality learning experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality teaching during teachers' PPA time, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of learning.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different classes, abilities and learning styles. 
• Maintain excellent behaviour management and create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. 
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and phase leaders to understand planning, expectations and learning objectives. 
• Assess pupils' understanding during lessons and provide feedback where required.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting its values and ethos. 

Person Specification:
Essential: QTS or PGCE Qualification, Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum, Excellent behaviour management skills, DBS Registered on the Update Service and a Registration with the EWC. 
Desirable: Experience teaching across multiple year groups within KS2 and confident in teaching across various subject areas.
