Supply Hive Wales works with primary, secondary and special schools across the city and surrounding areas, including Newport and the Vale of Glamorgan, with regular opportunities for teaching assistants, learning support assistants and one-to-one support staff &ndash; on day-to-day supply, long-term placements and permanent contracts.</p><h3>Recently graduated?</h3><p>Working as a teaching assistant is one of the best ways to start a career in education. Whether you're thinking about teacher training, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or social work, time in the classroom gives you real experience, strengthens your applications and helps you find out which age group suits you best. Supply work is also a flexible way to gain experience across different schools while you decide on your next step.</p><h3>What you need</h3><p>You don't need a teaching assistant qualification to register. We welcome graduates and anyone with relevant experience of working with children, and we'll meet with you to talk through your experience and assess your suitability before you register. We'll complete your safer recruitment checks, provide safeguarding training and point you in the right direction with Education Workforce Council registration.
