Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Cardiff
Location: Cardiff (CF24)
Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday | 8:30–15:30) Term time only
Pay: £90–£95 per day

Summary:
Supply Hive Wales is on the hunt for a personable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cardiff (CF24). This full-time role is based in a Year 3 classroom, supporting pupils’ academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities and create a positive, nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in preparing and delivering high-quality learning activities.
• Help maintain an organised and engaging classroom through preparation of resources and displays.
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil progress and inclusion.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a primary school setting—ideally in Key Stage 2 (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to confidently support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to supporting whole-class and small-group activities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
