Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Cardiff
Pay: £93 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Once vetting is complete
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Cardiff who are looking for a flexible and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a varied role where no two days will necessarily be the same. The successful candidate will work across different classes, providing support wherever it is most needed. You may be supporting the class teacher, working with small groups, or providing 1:1 support to pupils who require additional help.
The Role

• Provide general classroom support across different year groups and classes.
• Step in to provide 1:1 support for pupils when required.
• Deliver and support small-group interventions, particularly in reading and writing.
• Work alongside class teachers to help pupils access learning and make progress.
• Support children with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, pupils and situations throughout the school.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and confident working across different classes. You will need to be adaptable and comfortable stepping into different situations depending on where support is required.
Previous experience working within a primary school or with children is desirable, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.
